Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
- Be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the Faculty of Science;
- Be confirmed; and,
- Provide evidence of supervisor endorsement.
The travel must support or enhance a research activity that is part of a PhD program but is beyond that normally covered by the student’s supervisor and for which alternative sources of funding are limited.
Selection criteria
Eligible candidates will be ranked based on:
- Academic Merit,
- The potential impact of the scholarship on the student’s circumstances and research project interests, as outlined in their application.
Preference may be given to students who are the first in their family to have undertaken an undergraduate degree at a university in Australia.
