Summary

The Sir Ian Clunies-Ross Prize was established with a gift from Lady Clunies-Ross and is offered to students undertaking research in Veterinary Science which will benefit the Australian sheep and wool industry. Preference is given to students undertaking research in the field of Veterinary Parasitology.

Eligibility and selection criteria

Eligibility

To be considered, you must:

  • Be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy – Veterinary Sciences
  • Be undertaking research which benefits the Australian sheep and wool industry
  • Have met the requirements for confirmation of your candidature

Selection criteria

The prize is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on the quality of their application. Students who are undertaking research in the field of Veterinary Parasitology will be given preference. Other scholarships and prizes received by the students are taken into consideration.

Conditions

Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

Application

How to apply

You must submit an application and include:

  • Personal statement addressing the benefits of their research to the Australian sheep and wool industry
  • Curriculum vitae including leadership experience, publications or presentations related to their field of research
  • Statement of support from their supervisor
