Summary
The Stillbirth and Neonatal Deaths Research Scholarship was established in 1937 with generous donations made to the then King's Jubilee Fund and is offered to students who are enrolled or enrolling in a graduate research degree in medicine and surgery with any Australian university and undertaking a research project at the Royal Women’s Hospital.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend with a rate of approximately $20,000 per year (full-time student rate) for one year.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- Have met entry requirements or be enrolled in a graduate research degree in medicine and surgery at any university in Australia
- Be undertaking research at the Royal Women’s Hospital
- Have completed a degree in medicine and surgery or equivalent deemed valid by the Medical Board of Australia.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application.
Conditions
This scholarship is subject to the Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Graduate Research Trust Scholarships Terms and Conditions and can be deferred to the following year with prior approval from the University.
In addition, foreign medical degrees must be deemed valid by the Medical Board of Australia and students should verify they are a registered medical practitioner in Australia.
