The T.F. Ryan Roentgen Prize was established with a gift from Dr Thomas Francis Ryan and is offered to students who are enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Biomedicine and achieve the highest mark in a Modern Physics subject that involves the study of the physics of x-rays.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this prize, you must:
- Be enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Biomedicine (or successor)
- Have successfully completed the subject(s) Physics for Biomedicine and/or Physics 2: Life Sciences and Environment (or their successors).
Selection criteria
The prize is offered to the student(s) ranked highest based on the mark for subjects Physics for Biomedicine or Physics 2: Life Sciences and Environment (or their successors) or weighted mark for both subjects.
In the event of a tie, the prize will be split equally.
Conditions
Students must agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.
