Summary
The Tuckfield and Shepherd Prize was established with a gift from William John Tuckfield and is awarded to the student who achieve the highest mark for the Conservative Dentistry and Prosthodontics components in the subject Dental Practice 2.
About the donor
Dr William John Tuckfield DSc (N'wstn) (1925), DDSc (1944), LLD (1963), FACD was a member of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University from 1908. Later, he was appointed as Dean of the Faculty in 1922 until 1923, and Acting Professor of dental prosthetics in 1949 until his retirement in 1959.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be eligibile for this scholarship, you must:
- Be enrolled in the Doctor of Dental Surgery in the year for which the prize is awarded
- Have completed the subject Dental Practice 2.
Selection criteria
The prize is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest based on their aggregate mark for the Removable Prosthodontic component in the subject Dental Practice 2.
In the event of a tie, the prize will be split equally.
