Valerie and Lawrence Kennedy Scholarship

This scholarship will provide travelling support for select Master of Teaching candidates who are undertaking a regional, rural or remote Indigenous placement in Australia, or international placement in a Primary school setting. For successful recipients, funding provided will be a contribution towards the cost of the program, rather that covering the cost in its entirety.   Selection is competitive and submitting an application does not guarantee success. NOTE: the application link will be available on this site when the round related to your program opens.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in the Master of Teaching (Primary) or Master of Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary);  AND
    • undertaking a regional, rural or remote Indigenous teaching placement in a Primary school setting;  OR
    • undertaking an international placement in a Primary school setting.

    Selection criteria

    • applicants will be assessed on the merit of their application
    • assessment is competitive and an application is no guarantee of success

What are the benefits?

The scholarship is designed to contribute to costs associated with a program of travel program, not to cover the entire cost.

Work Integrated Learning – International: up to $2,000 per person
Engaging and Assessing Learners 3 – Indigenous (Northern Territory): up to $1,800 per person
