Varney Travelling Scholarship

This scholarship will provide one or more scholarships to students studying architecture to be used for educational experiences overseas. This could include either a semester/year long study at an international approved school of architecture or working in an architect's office overseas.

  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be enrolled in a postgraduate architecture coursework program in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
    • have completed at least one year of their masters program at time of travel
    • submit an online application

    Selection criteria

    Selection will be based on the rigour of their online application including:

    • Expression of Interest
    • evidence of application/acceptance to study at an international approved school of architecture as either an exchange or study abroad student; or
    • acceptance to work in an architect's office overseas

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Successful applicants will be advised of the outcome by the end of January 2025.

What are the benefits?

The scholarship offers a one-off payment of up to $8,000. If more than one recipient is selected in a year, the scholarship will be divided equally between recipients.
