The Varney VCA Design and Production Travelling Award is awarded to talented Australian Students who are enrolled in a coursework degree in design or production to support career-enhancing overseas projects after graduation.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, you must:
- Be an Australian citizen
- Be enrolled in the final year of either the Master of Design and Production, Bachelor of Design (Performance Design), Bachelor of Design (Graphic Design), or Bachelor of Fine Art (Production) in the year for which the award has been awarded.
Selection criteria
The award is offered to the eligible candidate(s) ranked highest by the selection panel based on their course-weighted average mark (WAM) and the quality of their application.
In the interest of equitable distribution of scholarships, other scholarships or prizes received from the University by candidates are considered.
Conditions
This award cannot be deferred. In addition, recipients must:
- Undertake the travel for which the award was provided within 18 months of graduation
- Agree to the University sharing their name and course details with the donor of their scholarship and provide a note of appreciation or a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship upon completion of travel.

- A personal statement including details about your practice (including 3-4 examples of previous work) and addressing how the travel will enhance your practice and career opportunities
- A statement of intent including an outline of the proposed travel and project.
