Curran Engineering Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2019 with a gift from Kevin and Laurence Curran, and is offered to undergraduate students from regional or remote areas who are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances and intend to pursue a graduate degree by coursework in the field of Engineering.

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

    Selection criteria

    This scholarship is offered to eligible candidates who have the highest overall level of disadvantage based on the information provided in their VTAC SEAS application and their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). Preference is given to Indigenous students or students from a remote area in Australia.


    This scholarship is subject to the Coursework Scholarships Terms & Conditions and can be deferred to the following academic year. In addition, you must enrol in an undergraduate degree with an engineering major followed by the Master of Engineering. See: Engineering pathway

  • Application process

    Students who have applied for Access Melbourne using the VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) will be automatically considered for these scholarships.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Scholarship offers are made a few days after the Victorian Year 12 ATAR are released in December. Further offers are made in December and February to students who have completed IB or Year Twelve at an school outside Victoria.

What are the benefits?

An allowance of $10,000 per year (paid in half-yearly instalments) for up to three years while enrolled in an undergraduate degree and up to two years while enrolled in the Master of Engineering.
