Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- be enrolled at the University of Melbourne
- provide evidence of financial need
Selection criteria
Eligible students are selected on the basis of financial need.
Conditions
- You must be enrolled as a full-time student in a course at the University of Melbourne. You may be eligible to receive this scholarship while enrolled as a part-time student.
- This scholarship cannot be deferred to the following year.
- You must provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship and give permission for the University to provide the report, your name and course details to the donor.

Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via email in April.

About the donor
A.J. Glasson Williams
A.J. Glasson Williams was the Assistant Registrar of the University. On the occasion of his 60th birthday on 14 October 1963, after more than 30 years' service with the University, presented funds to provide bursaries for the encouragement of worthy students at the university.

What are the benefits?
The scholarship provides an annual allowance of approximately $1,100 (exact amount determined when award is offered) for up to the full-time duration of your course. The annual allowance is paid in two instalments usually in April and September. The duration will be reduced by any study completed towards your course prior to receiving this scholarship.
