The bursaries provide a one-off payment of between $1000 to $10,000 depending on the level of financial need.
Students in need of immediate financial assistance should contact University Financial Aid team for advice, loans and grants.

Eligibility
To be considered for these bursaries, you must:
- Be enrolled in a course at the University of Melbourne at the close date of the relevant round; students undertaking a single subject or a non-award course (e.g. study abroad or exchange) are not eligible
- Have an academic status of Good Standing

How to apply
Applications are accepted in two rounds:
- Round 1: Opens 1 January - closes 10 March
- Round 2: Opens 1 May- closes on 4 August
Submit an online Student Financial Assessment form in the relevant round by the closing date.
The application form will be available when the round is open.
When will I know the outcome?
Successful applicants for Round 1 will be notified of the outcome of their application via email in early April, and Round 2 outcomes will be communicated in late August.
