Summary
The Indigenous PhD Scholarship in Science is offered to talented Indigenous students enrolling in a PhD in the Faculty of Science.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a fortnightly stipend payment at the annual value of an MRS for three years. Further extensions are available based on progress (ie. for up to four years candidature). Access to a further $6000 to support fieldwork, conference or collaborative travel during candidature.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person by descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived
- Be enrolling an a PhD in the Faculty of Science
Indigenous students entering a PhD in the Faculty of Science. To remain eligible, the candidate must maintain the minimum PhD candidature requirements as established by the University.
Selection criteria
The successful candidate must satisfy the minimum entry requirements for a RHD as set out in the University Handbook.
Conditions
Students must affirm and maintain their eligibility for support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. See: Establishing your eligibility. In addition, students must maintain the minimum PhD candidature requirements as established by the University
