Summary
The Hugh Kingsley Family Scholarship was established with a gift from Hugh Kingsley and is offered to mature-aged students who are enrolling in a coursework degree and are experiencing disadvantaged circumstances. Preference is given to the oldest applicant within the 30-45 age range.
Benefits
This scholarship provides a living allowance of $5000 per year for the full-time duration of the course, paid in half-yearly instalments of $2500 in April and September. The duration of the scholarship will be reduced by study undertaken previously and credited towards your course.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- have received an offer for undergraduate or graduate degree by coursework commencing in the year for which the scholarship is awarded.
Selection criteria
The scholarship is offered to the student(s) who are ranked highest by the selection panel based on their application. Preference is given to the oldest applicant within the 30-45 age range if ranked in the top five.
Conditions
This scholarships are subject to the Coursework Scholarship Conditions. In addition, you must agree to give permission for the University to provide your name and course details to the donor of your scholarship and to provide a brief report on the benefits of the scholarship if requested.

How to apply
You must submit a Coursework Access Scholarships application, and include a personal statement and supporting documentation outlining any disadvantaged circumstances that affects their ability to study and explaining how the scholarship will assist them in achiving their personal and academic aspirations.
