Summary
This scholarship supports PhD students in the Faculty of Science undertaking travel to attend conferences, fieldwork, etc. as part of a Study Away request.
Benefits
Major award of up to $2,000 for costs associated with international travel (e.g. in-person conferences or fieldwork).
Minor award of up to $500 for costs associated with participation in online conferences that would normally be held outside Australia.

Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- be enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy - Science
- have met the requirements for confirmation of your candidature
- undertake travel before your maximum course duration date
- undertake travel before award of PhD
- submit your application before submitting your thesis
You may apply for and receive multiple Science Abroad Travelling Scholarships but the total payment over the course of their candidature may not exceed $2,000.
*Important Note: Graduate Researchers need to apply for Study Away if travelling for research related activities away from the University.
