  • Eligibility & selection criteria

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

    • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen
    • be undertaking Victorian Certificate of Education or International Baccalaureate in Victoria
    • be nominated by the Principal of your school as a student with an excellent academic record and a strong record of contribution to the school or wider community
    • not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a Year 12 program)

    This scholarship is offered to all eligible students.

    Conditions

    This scholarship is subject to the following conditions:

    • You must have applied for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course via VTAC for commencement in the year following completion of Victorian Certificate of Education or International Baccalaureate
    • You must satisfy the course prerequisites and achieve the minimum ATAR  for the University of Melbourne course preference in your application
    • You must receive an offer and enrolled in an undergraduate course at the University of Melbourne
    • You cannot hold both a Melbourne Principals' Scholarship and a Melbourne Chancellor's Scholarship.

  • When will I know the outcome?

    Successful candidates will be notified between September and November.

What are the benefits?

A one-off allowance of $5,000 paid in the first semester of enrolment.
